The southwestern part of Kochi Prefecture, where the Nakamura / Sukumo Line of the Tosa Kuroshio Railway runs, region rich in nature with famous tourist spots such as the Shimanto River and Cape Ashizuri.

"Shimanto River", which flows through western Shikoku and is the longest river in Shikoku, is also called one of Japan's three major clear streams and has been selected as one of the 100 famous waters and 100 unexplored regions of Japan.

Hata / Market "Seaside Sunday Market" is held next to the Kroshio-cho Irino / Gym At Tosa Seinan Large Scale Park on the second Sunday of every month (get off at Tosa Irino Station). At the market, you can enjoy shopping for handmade processed goods and crafts that make use of local materials, as well as fresh agricultural products. Since the producers and buyers interact face-to-face, you can have a warm and relaxed exchange with the locals.

In the summer, "Ukibuchi Beach", which has been certified as one of Japan's 88 best beaches, is bustling with many beachgoers. It is popular as a leisure destination in the summer due to its shallow water, beautiful scenery, and clean water.

The "Daruma Sunset" (get off at Sukumo Station), a kind of mirage that can be seen in the harsh winter, is also a must-see! It is an extremely rare phenomenon in which the sun just before it sinks into the sea is distorted like a mirage and the two circles melt together like a daruma doll. The happy sunset can be seen from Kanyo Island Park.

"Seaside Gallery" is a museum without a building, which is rare in Japan. The 4-kilometer-long beautiful sandy beach itself serves as an art museum and various ""artworks"" that are friendly to people and nature, such as drifting objects, nature, and sand patterns that wash up on the beach, delight the eyes and minds.
