Hakone is located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, west of Tokyo and is a mountainous town known for its onsen town and the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. Owakudani (get off at Owakudani) is a must-visit spot when you come to Hakone. A power spot where you can feel the energy of the earth with the smell of sulf in the white eruption which was created at the eruption site of Hakone volcano about 3,000 years ago. The famous gourmet "black eggs" are a onsen egg that is said to "extend your life by 7 years if you eat one". Eggs with black shells that react with the heat of the onsen are popular as souvenirs. In addition, You can also enjoy the superb view from the window of the ropeway to Owakudani.
